My Blog

I made little Olivia, rather randomly, on Friday 30th August. I say randomly as I opened the cupboard with the wool felt in and just had the urge to try making a bear! The last Bear I made, pre-poorly-tendon, was on 11th May so it really has been a fair while. I did it secretly to ease the pressure as it was scary to try but I am so proud of myself as I really wasn't sure I'd even be able to sew a bear together again after I hurt my hand. Luckily there were no issues with my hand during or after making Olivia. My tendon is by no means healed, but I'm happy I can make bears again whilst it keeps healing. The tendon in my hand is pretty much ruling my jobs list but that's okay too. I will stop whatever I'm making should it result in a flair up as I absolutely can't go back to no Bear-making.
Anyway, I'm pleased things are finally improving and I am absolutely elated to be able to make Bears again. I cannot put into words just how much I've missed them.
It's super exciting to know I will have NEW bears at our next Waterside Artisan Market on the 14th and 15th September - Yay me!!!!
